BUILD IT! – ElectroSLab Christmas Interactive Kids Event

BUILD IT! – ElectroSLab Christmas Interactive Kids Event

This Christmas season, ElectroSLab is proud to present BUILD IT!, a special interactive technology event designed to introduce children to robotics, coding, and STEAM learning through hands-on activities.

BUILD IT! is carefully structured to suit different age groups, ensuring that every child learns at their own pace while enjoying a fun, safe, and engaging experience. The event combines creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, making it an ideal holiday activity for families.

Learning Through Play at ElectroSLab

At ElectroSLab, we believe that children learn best when they actively participate. BUILD IT! focuses on practical learning, where kids touch, build, experiment, and explore. Instead of passive screen time, children interact with real components, develop logical thinking, and gain confidence by creating something on their own.

Each activity station is supervised by trained staff to ensure guidance, safety, and an enjoyable learning environment.

Activity Details

WeDo Junior (Ages 3–7)

WeDo Junior is designed specifically for younger children who are taking their first steps into technology. This activity focuses on building simple models using large, child-friendly components that are easy to assemble and safe to use.

Children will learn how different parts fit together, understand basic movement, and follow simple instructions. The emphasis is on creativity, motor skills, and playful learning rather than technical complexity.

This activity helps children:

  • Develop fine motor skills

  • Improve basic problem-solving abilities

  • Learn cooperation and teamwork

  • Build confidence through hands-on play

Participation fee: $2

WeDo 2.0 (Ages 7–10)

WeDo 2.0 introduces children to more advanced building and early programming concepts. Participants will construct simple robotic models and use basic logic to control movements and actions.

This activity bridges the gap between play and structured learning, helping children understand cause-and-effect relationships while encouraging curiosity and experimentation.

Children will gain:

  • Introduction to robotics and engineering concepts

  • Early exposure to logical thinking and sequencing

  • Improved focus and task completion skills

  • Confidence in using technology creatively

Participation fee: $2

Codey Rocky (Ages 10+)

Codey Rocky is an exciting introduction to coding and robotics for older children. Participants will learn how to control a smart robot using simple programming concepts that encourage logical thinking and creativity.

This activity is ideal for children who are curious about how software interacts with hardware. It helps them understand how commands, sensors, and actions work together in real-world applications.

Through Codey Rocky, children will:

  • Learn basic coding concepts in a fun and interactive way

  • Understand how robots respond to commands

  • Develop problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

  • Experience hands-on STEM learning

Participation fee: $3

DIY STEAM Family Building

The DIY STEAM Family Building activity is a unique group experience designed to bring families together. Parents and children collaborate on a building project, promoting teamwork, communication, and creativity.

This activity emphasizes shared learning, allowing parents to engage directly in their child’s educational journey while creating lasting memories.

Benefits include:

  • Strengthening family bonds

  • Encouraging teamwork and collaboration

  • Introducing STEAM concepts in a relaxed environment

  • Creating a shared sense of achievement
